45 FEET TALL PRODUCTIONS
Founder & Artistic director,
Silje trained as a theatre maker and performer at Rose Bruford College. She graduated from European Theatre Arts with a first class honours degree in September 2017. She also trained and studied at Institute Del Teatro in Barcelona and at NSKI and Romerike Folkehøgskole in Oslo, Norway.
Emerging between London, UK and Stavanger, Norway, 45 FEET TALL is the result of her passion for research based and physically motivated theatre practice and creative process. She invites collaborators and performers to explore and develop her on-going practice for ‘training the performer and creating work within the contemporary theatre landscape’.
45 FEET TALL are a high octane, physical and experimental theatre and performance company, driven by Silje’s fascination with the relationship between process and product. They are research and physical process dependant and their departure point always emerges from their core principles; the activation of task and its relationship to the performers and how this can invite and challenge narrative structures.
45 FEET TALL is currently in London!!
We will be showing our new piece, VOL 2.0 at Voila!Europe, a festival of European Theatre. Over the two weeks of the festival we will be doing a residency at Theatre Delicatessen, developing the performance. We will be performing at The Etcetera Theatre on the 17th and 18th November 2018.
By upping the stakes and flirting with authentic risk, we’re entering a new phase of exploration that pushes the physical and mental boundaries of our performers, coaxing them into the unchartered territory of subjectivity and the unexpected.

TWO GUYS ONE TREADMILL
A performance stemming from a ten-week physical and theoretical research process, the starting point for 45 FEET TALL and what can now be recognised as the foundation of Silje’s practice and creative process.
TWO GUYS ONE TREADMILL is the projection of Silje’s obsession with human behaviour, focused on generating real moments within a fictional reality which the performers create with only one requirement; to fully commit to each task ahead - Don’t act, just do. So what happens in a space with two guys, one treadmill, a lot or oranges and a plethora of things to do? TWO GUYS ONE TREADMILL is exactly that.
